I would like to share you about my problem. I want to scan my document using my Canon MP287. It was good before, but there's a problem for the last time i tried scan my document. There's notice error "internal error ocured, scanner driver will be closed error: 5,202,54".
How can i fix it?
I have solved that issue which is i have found the problem on:

The error message probably caused by the services on your system for Windows Image Acquisition (WIA). This service provides image acquisition services for scanners and cameras. You should makesure the status has running or you have to restart this process.
Follow the procedure below to check if Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) is running or in started state:

From the Start menu, click Control Panel >System and Maintenance > Administrative Tools, then double-click Services.
Windows XP:
From the Start menu, click Control Panel >Performance and Maintenance >Administrative Tools, then double-clickServices.
Find the services process:
Right click on this service then start/restart.
It should be changes for the status. You can try again to check this issue, maybe there's several step that you have to do, it can be restart your system or reinstall the scanner driver.
